Applied Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Power Distribution to join our remote-friendly team. You will contribute to the design and development of LV and MV power distribution equipment, including switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, load banks, generators, and energy storage systems, from concept through manufacturing and testing.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• 1–2+ years in electrical design or power distribution.
• Experience with LV/MV AC systems.
• Knowledge of NEC/UL standards and electrical ratings.
• Familiarity with electrical components and schematics.
• Experience with Electrical design software.

Responsibilities

• Design and support LV/MV power distribution products from concept through manufacturing.
• Research, evaluate, and select electrical components per requirements.
• Develop electrical schematics and engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate across functions to deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Support product validation, testing, and certification.
• Contribute to switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, and related equipment.
