Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer for remote US work with up to 75% travel. You will configure, test, and support ECH solutions across on-prem and cloud environments, coordinating with customers and partners to ensure smooth production cuts and ongoing operation.

You will need 3+ years in IP deployments, cloud/troubleshooting skills, virtualization experience, and strong AD/telephony knowledge. Remote with international travel potential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years deploying or integrating complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, CompTIA Network+ and Security+).
• Troubleshooting cloud-based apps, including connectivity, latency, and identity (SSO/AD).
• Installation/admin/troubleshooting of virtualization and servers (KVM/ESXi/Hyper-V).
• Database servers: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2016.
• Server OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 R2; Workstations Windows 10/11.
• Linux and networking gear; Cisco IOS; basic firewall knowledge (Fortinet).
• Telephony knowledge for analog lines and PRI; AD account segregation.
• Ability to work independently with guides and remote support; time management.
• Public Safety apps deployment experience preferred; travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS apps.
• Site verification testing prior to production cutover.
• Configures/troubleshoots connectivity between local and cloud environments.
• Supports customers and channel partners during deployment.
• Documents changes including cloud configurations and API integrations.
• Resolves installation/quality issues promptly.
• Participates in MOP development for cloud migrations/upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract presentations and negotiations as needed.
• Maintains SME skills in cloud-native public safety tech.
