Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States is seeking an experienced ECH Field Engineer to lead deployment and integration of Emergency Call Handling solutions. This remote role requires extensive travel (50-75% per year) across the US and internationally, supporting on‑premise and cloud hosted environments.

You will configure systems, verify site readiness, and collaborate with customers and partners. Must have 5+ years in engineering or technical roles and relevant cloud/telecom certifications;

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the deployment or integration of complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals) are a plus.
• CompTIA Network+ AND Security+.
• Experience with Cloud-based application troubleshooting, including connectivity, latency analysis, and identity management (SSO/Active Directory).
• Experience with installation, administration, and troubleshooting of: Server Virtualization, RedHat KVM, VMware ESXi, and/or Hyper-V.
• Database Servers, specifically SQL Server 2008 R2/2012/2016.
• Server Operating Systems, Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2; Workstation OS Windows 10 & 11; Linux.
• Network switches with Cisco IOS; basic Firewalls/routers (Fortinet FortiGate).
• Telephony knowledge related to analog lines and PRI; ACD call routing and provisioning; SIP interfaces and SBC provisioning.
• Active Directory knowledge for account segregation and roles; able to work independently with guides/remotely; self-management of time.
• Public safety deployments experience preferred; willing for up to 75% travel; US passport eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for all supported ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based apps.
• Performs site verification testing prior to production cutover.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between on-site infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Provides support to customers and channel partners during deployment.
• Documents all changes to the solution, including cloud tenants and API integrations.
• Ensures installation/quality issues are resolved timely.
• Participates in developing and approving methods of procedure for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations as required.
• Maintains SME skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
