Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer who will lead on-site configuration, testing, and post-cut support for public safety solutions, both on-premise and cloud-hosted. The role requires navigating hybrid cloud environments and ensuring production readiness.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in deployment/integration of IP-based systems, cloud certifications, and strong virtualization and networking skills, with significant travel (up to 75%)

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in deployment or integration of complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS or Microsoft Azure, and networking/security knowledge.
• Experience with cloud-based app troubleshooting, latency analysis, and identity management (SSO/AD).
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM) and Windows Server environments.
• Familiarity with Cisco switching, basic firewall/Router concepts; telephony knowledge including analog/PBX lines.

Responsibilities

• Configure and verify all ECH solutions on-site and in cloud environments.
• Test site readiness and perform production cutovers with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot connectivity between local sites and cloud-hosted services.
• Provide on-site and remote support to customers and partners during deployment.
• Document changes, cloud tenant configurations, and API integrations for the project.
