Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced E-Billing Specialist to support the full billing lifecycle, including pre-bill review, invoice preparation, electronic submissions, appeals management, and follow-up in a fully remote role.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 3–4 years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services setting, and strong knowledge of billing software such as Aderant, plus Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–4 years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles related to billing, invoice adjustments, appeals, and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience interpreting and applying client billing agreements and outside counsel guidelines.
• Extensive experience with electronic billing platforms and billing vendors.
• Proficiency with Aderant or comparable legal billing software.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the full billing lifecycle: pre-bill review, invoice preparation, electronic billing submissions, appeals management, and ongoing invoice follow-up.
• Collaborate with attorneys, finance professionals, and clients to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Maintain compliance with client-specific billing guidelines and electronic billing requirements.
