Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Fully Remote Legal E-Billing Specialist to manage the complete billing lifecycle from pre-bill reviews to electronic submissions. The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services setting and is proficient with Aderant and MS Office.

The role emphasizes accuracy in high-volume billing, interpretation of client agreements, and collaboration with attorneys, finance, and clients to ensure compliant, timely invoices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–4 years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles related to billing, invoice adjustments, appeals, and AR processes.
• Experience interpreting and applying client billing agreements and outside counsel guidelines.
• Extensive experience with electronic billing platforms and billing vendors.
• Proficiency with Aderant or comparable legal billing software; strong MS Excel/Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the full billing lifecycle: pre-bill review, invoice prep, e-billing submissions, appeals management, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with attorneys, finance, and clients to ensure timely, accurate billing and compliance with client guidelines.
• Interpret and apply client agreements and outside counsel guidelines in billing.
• Maintain high-volume, deadline-driven accuracy in invoicing.
