Job summary

Wilson Elser is seeking a fully remote E-billing Timekeeper/Rate Compliance Administrator to set up and maintain client/matter information in the firm’s financial database.

The role involves managing timekeeper/rate data submissions, collaborating with attorneys, clients, and middleware vendors, and documenting client-specific e-billing requirements. Knowledge of e-billing formats and middleware systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training; 1-3 years in legal e-billing may substitute for education.
• Knowledge of legal billing and middleware systems is a plus (e.g., Legal Exchange, TyMetrix 360, Legal-X, Serengeti/Legal Tracker).
• Familiarity with LEDES billing formats a plus.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong reading comprehension, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with attorneys, staff, vendors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manages submission of timekeeper/rate data to legal billing middleware sites per client and system requirements.
• Liaises with attorneys, clients, middleware vendors and admin teams to resolve timekeeper/rate issues during invoice upload.
• Documents timekeeper/rate requirements for each client's e-billing process.
• Assesses e-billing submission process for improvements and efficiencies.
• Participates in firm-wide and departmental compliance projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
