Job summary

Wilson Elser is seeking an E-billing Timekeeper/Rate Compliance Administrator for a fully remote role available to candidates nationwide where the firm has offices. You will help set up and maintain client/matter data in the financial database and support billing workflows.

The position emphasizes knowledge of e-billing, LEDES formats, and middleware systems, with collaboration across attorneys, clients, and vendors. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent and strong Excel/Outlook skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 1–3 years in legal e-billing may substitute.
• Knowledge of legal billing and middleware systems (e.g., Legal Exchange, TyMetrix 360, Serengeti/Legal Tracker) is a plus.
• Understanding LEDES billing formats is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track submission of timekeeper/rate data to legal billing middleware per client and system requirements.
• Liaise with attorneys, clients, middleware vendors, and administrative teams to resolve issues during invoicing.
• Identify and document timekeeper/rate requirements for each client's e-billing process.
• Assess and improve e-billing submission processes for efficiency.
• Participate in firm-wide and departmental compliance initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
