Prudential Financial, Inc. is seeking an experienced Disability Claims Specialist to serve as a Long-Term Disability technical expert within the Group Insurance Disability Organization. You will guide claim professionals, coach team members, and promote high-quality claim outcomes while ownership remains with the claim professional.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of Long-Term Disability claim management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Long-Term Disability policy provisions and medical/vocational considerations.
• Strong communication, consultation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Proven ability to coach claim professionals, provide actionable feedback, and build technical capability.
• Ability to interpret claim data, inventory indicators, and activity trends to identify risks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Long-Term Disability technical expert to the Team Lead and claim professionals on complex matters.
• Provide guidance on policy interpretation, medical/vocational considerations, claim strategy, and benefit eligibility.
• Coach claim professionals through complex scenarios and reinforce correct claim management practices.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for coaching or improvement.
• Monitor claim block health by reviewing inventory and performance indicators and supporting corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver technical training and resources for claim professionals.
