Job summary

Prudential is seeking an experienced Disability Claims Specialist to act as a Long Term Disability technical expert within the Group Insurance Disability Organization. You will guide claim professionals, provide coaching, and promote high-quality outcomes while ownership remains with the individual professional.

The role is fully virtual with occasional on-site requirements and a strong emphasis on technical training, collaboration, and policy interpretation to support informed decision making

Qualifications

• 3+ years in long-term disability claim management with complex claim evaluation and resolution experience.
• Deep knowledge of LTD policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations, and benefit calculations.
• Strong communication, consultation, and facilitation skills to explain complex information.
• Proven ability to coach claim professionals and identify emerging risks and improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert to the Team Lead and claim professionals on complex claim matters.
• Provide guidance on policy interpretation, medical/vocational considerations, and claim strategy.
• Coach staff through difficult scenarios, delivering actionable feedback to improve decision quality.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for coaching and process improvement.
• Develop and maintain technical resources, procedures, and best-practice guidance.
