Job summary

You will lead a design team, collaborating with product, marketing, analytics, and engineering to deliver compelling, conversion-focused experiences across the customer journey.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior Web Experience Design role, including 3+ years of people management.
• Strong experience with ecommerce, growth, conversion optimization, or other transactional digital experiences.
• Deep expertise in UX and UI design principles, accessibility, responsive design, and modern design processes.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• A portfolio is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for Cengage’s web experience, establishing a UX/UI strategy for discovery, evaluation, purchase, and engagement.
• Make experimentation central to design, partnering with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Engineering to run tests.
• Advance ecommerce and conversion experiences, improving high-value moments.
• Design across the full customer journey from acquisition to engagement.
• Use data to identify and prioritize opportunities with qualitative and behavioral analytics.
• Build a culture of continuous optimization and iterative learning.
• Stay ahead of evolving web design practices including AI-enabled experiences and accessibility.
• Develop outstanding talent by coaching designers and building leadership.
