Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior Web Experience Design role, including 3+ years of people management.
• Strong experience with ecommerce, growth, conversion optimization, or other transactional digital experiences.
• Deep expertise in UX and UI design, human-centered design, accessibility, and modern digital processes.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• A portfolio is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for Cengage’s web experience and establish a clear UX/UI strategy.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Engineering to develop hypotheses and rapid tests.
• Advance ecommerce and conversion experiences across key customer journeys.
• Design coherent experiences across acquisition, exploration, consideration, purchase, onboarding, and engagement.
• Use data to identify opportunities through qualitative research, analytics, and experiments.
• Build a culture of continuous optimization with measured improvements.
• Stay ahead of evolving web practices including AI-enabled experiences and accessibility.
