Job summary

Chemtrade is seeking a Director of Business and Product Development to drive long-term growth in Water Solutions across the US and Canada. This home-based role reports to the VP, Water Solutions and leads a team of four product and business developers.

You will build market intelligence, identify new markets and growth opportunities, collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and corporate development, and develop robust business cases with ROI projections. Travel required.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Chemistry undergraduate degree.
• MBA highly preferred (Experience may be substituted).
• 10-15 years in a chemical or related industry.
• Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills including Excel.
• Strong problem-solving and data synthesis with business judgment.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead market intelligence for Water Solutions markets in US and Canada.
• Identify and pursue new growth opportunities including potential M&A.
• Lead a team of 4 in product and business development.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Sales, and Strategy leaders.
• Develop robust business cases with ROI and budgets.
• Present market insights and recommendations to Senior Leadership.
• Manage stage-gate process for new products and opportunities.
