Job summary

Thrivent Financial seeks a Director of Organizational Effectiveness and Workforce Strategy to translate business strategy into organizational design, workforce capability, and leadership practices across the enterprise. You will lead strategy and design, workforce planning, change leadership, and governance to ensure readiness and measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, human resources, business administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years in organizational effectiveness, organization design, transformation, and HR strategy.
• 5+ years of leadership experience including people management.
• Experience with change management methodologies (Prosci ADKAR or Kotter’s 8-Step).
• Experience with organization design methods (Galbraith Star Model, McKinsey 7S).
• Strong consulting, facilitation, and executive-influence skills.
• Ability to translate business strategy into practical organizational and workforce solutions.
• Strong business and financial acumen; impact on enterprise performance.

Responsibilities

• Translate business strategy into organizational structures, operating models, governance, and clear accountabilities.
• Lead organization and work-design efforts to improve alignment, agility, and performance.
• Lead workforce planning and future readiness with analytics and scenario planning.
• Drive enterprise talent assessment, talent review, and succession planning practices.
• Partner with senior Talent and Culture leadership to prioritize organizational effectiveness initiatives.
