Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a seasoned Product Leader for Utilization Management, responsible for strategy, roadmap, and value realization. You will guide UM product management teams, partner with UM operations, and drive the portfolio to meet customer and business goals while aligning with overall strategy.

The role emphasizes market insights, human-centered design, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver premier experiences for customers, providers, and employees within a health insurance

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in product management, strategy, operational improvement, and/or consulting or other relevant experience, preferably within the health insurance industry.
• 5 years of experience in Management or leadership role.
• UM experience in payer or provider or health tech organization (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate a clear product vision and strategy, communicating it to stakeholders across the organization.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive multi-year product roadmap aligned with strategic goals and market trends.
• Lead product development from ideation to launch with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, technology, operations, marketing, sales).
• Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
• Manage backlog, prioritize features, and track progress against timelines, budgets, and value realization.
• Monitor product performance metrics and drive optimization, growth, and lifecycle management.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of product managers and analysts.
