Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Director of School Operations (DSO) to drive operational excellence across a portfolio of Connections Academy schools. This senior role partners with school leaders to strengthen effectiveness, ensure compliance, and scale execution in a remote work environment.

The DSO directly coaches principals, aligns systems across schools, supports enrollment growth, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to sustain high student experience and performance. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years proven leadership experience as a Principal or equivalent level.
• Advanced degree in Education or Management is required.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and coach multiple school leaders across a portfolio of schools.
• Indirectly support and influence leadership teams and staff through strong systems.
• Establish consistent operational expectations across schools with local nuances.
• Hold school leaders accountable for academics, compliance, and operational deliverables.
• Monitor health, engagement, and compliance indicators across schools.
• Provide data-informed coaching to leaders to improve execution at scale.
• Work with schools to enable enrollment growth through operational readiness.
• Identify risks to charter stability and coordinate mitigations.
