Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Director of School Operations to lead operational excellence across a portfolio of Connections Academy schools. The role emphasizes partnerships with school leaders to strengthen effectiveness, compliance, and scale in enrollment readiness.

The DSO will coach principals and leadership teams, drive enterprise systems adoption, manage performance reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver sustainable outcomes for students and families.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience leading large, complex school networks.
• Proven ability to develop and implement scalable operational strategies.
• Strong communication and coaching skills with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio-Level School Operations Leadership across multiple schools.
• Directly manage and coach multiple school leaders.
• Establish consistent operational expectations across schools while allowing local nuance.
• Oversee calendar, policy reviews, and annual cycle delivery for the portfolio.
• Monitor operational health, risk indicators, and compliance across schools.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and leadership development with succession planning.
• Collaborate with boards, authorizers, and partners to maintain strong relationships.
