Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Director of School Operations (DSO), a senior leader responsible for operational excellence across a portfolio of Connections Academy schools. You will coach and partner with school leaders, ensuring compliance, strategic execution, and scalable operations to support student success.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with SSP, Academic Outcomes, and other departments. Travel and leadership of leaders through data-driven coaching are key to sustaining

Qualifications

• 3–5 years proven leadership experience as a Principal or equivalent level.
• Advanced degree in Education or Management is required.
• Virtual school leadership experience is required.
• Willingness to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and coach multiple school leaders across a portfolio of schools.
• Establish consistent operational expectations across schools while allowing for local nuances.
• Monitor operational health, engagement trends, and compliance indicators across schools.
• Provide structured, data-informed coaching to leaders to improve execution at scale.
• Lead hiring and onboarding of school leaders.
• Support operational change across multiple schools as PVS launches new products and services.
• Ensure adoption of enterprise systems, processes, and initiatives.
