Solv Energy seeks a Director of Project Development and Strategy to lead preconstruction for its high voltage infrastructure unit, from opportunity identification through final estimate and handoff to execution. Qualifikationen

• 10+ years in preconstruction/estimating in HV/industrial construction.
• 3+ years in a preconstruction leadership role.
• Experience leading pricing for HV/substation EPC or self‑perform projects.
• Strong command of substation and transmission scope and cost drivers.
• Experience building and leading an estimating team.
• Knowledge of project controls, scheduling, and constructability.

Aufgaben

• Lead HV preconstruction through estimating and proposal development.
• Own the preconstruction stage-gate process for HV ensuring scope, take-off, risk, and estimate quality.
• Partner with business development for go/no-go decisions and win strategy.
• Direct quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and labor productivity for HV scope.
• Lead constructability reviews with engineering and operations.
• Manage subcontractor and major equipment bid solicitation and qualification.
• Present cost estimates, risk registers, and pricing recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure clean handoff of awarded projects to execution teams with budgets and risk items.
• Track win rates and learnings to refine estimating approaches.
• Standardize tools and templates across HV and post-M&A integrations.
• Develop the preconstruction bench through hiring and mentoring.
