Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is a leading provider of infrastructure services for the power industry, seeking a Director of Project Development and Strategy to lead all preconstruction activities for the High Voltage Infrastructure unit.

You will own pricing, estimates, and bid development across transmission, substation, and switchyard scopes, coordinating with BD, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to convert opportunities into constructible projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in preconstruction, estimating, or engineering in HV transmission/substation/industrial construction.
• Leadership experience in a preconstruction team with standardized processes.
• Experience presenting pricing and risk recommendations to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV preconstruction team through estimating and proposal development (pricing, takeoffs, scope).
• Own preconstruction stage-gate process, ensuring consistent scope, take-off, risk review and quality.
• Partner with Business Development to shape win strategy and pricing philosophy.
• Direct quantity take-offs, unit pricing and labor productivity for HV scope (substations, switchyards, lines).
• Lead constructability reviews with Engineering and Operations to reflect buildable approaches.
