Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national P&C and agency operations. The role partners with regional leadership to standardize workflows, optimize processes, and drive performance while supporting M&A integration and transformational initiatives.

Ideal candidate brings a P&C license, CPCU/CIC designation, and 5–7+ years in commercial lines leadership within a large brokerage.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent)
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization
• Demonstrated experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements
• Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with regional leaders.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvement to increase productivity and quality.
• Analyze staffing and capacity to support growth.
• Align Managed Services with organizational goals.
• Provide SME guidance on agency operations, workflows, and systems.
• Support M&A integration and workflow alignment.
• Collaborate with producers and ops teams to drive adoption.
• Promote EPIC, reporting tools, and tech utilization.
• Use metrics and BI to assess performance.
• Lead change management and professional development.
