Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director of Commercial Lines to lead national P&C operations, standardize workflows, and drive growth. This role partners with regional leaders to optimize client service and profitability across the brokerage, including support for M&A initiatives and integration efforts.

The position requires active P&C licensure and a CPCU/CIC designation, with 5–7+ years of leadership experience in a large brokerage.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with senior leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and quality.
• Analyze root causes and implement sustainable actions.
• Plan staffing and capacity to support growth.
• Coordinate with Managed Services for resource alignment.
• Provide national SME guidance on agency operations and systems.
• Support M&A integration through planning and standardization.
• Collaborate with producers and leaders to drive adoption.
