Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director, Commercial Lines to serve as the national SME in Commercial Property & Casualty insurance and agency operations. You will partner with divisional leadership to advance objectives, optimize workflows, and support producers, account teams, and leaders in delivering exceptional client service.

Ideal candidate holds an active P&C license with CPCU or CIC preferred, and has 5–7+ years of leadership in a large brokerage.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU or CIC designation strongly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership in a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations and workflows.
• Experience with workflow standardization and process optimization.
• Experience in root cause analysis and sustainable improvements.
• Workforce planning and capacity modeling experience.
• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions and integration initiatives.
• EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with regional leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvements to boost productivity and quality.
• Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze staffing and capacity to support growth.
• Coordinate with Managed Services to align resources.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and systems.
• Support M&A integration through planning and standardization.
• Build partnerships with producers and operations to drive initiatives.
• Promote effective use of EPIC, reporting tools, and tech platforms.
• Use metrics to evaluate performance and identify improvements.
• Lead change management for new processes and practices.
• Maintain ongoing professional development and industry knowledge.
• Uphold IOA values in all interactions.
