Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to lead national operations, drive workflow standardization, and advance performance across a large brokerage. This role partners with senior leadership to optimize client service, scale processes, and coordinate M&A integration initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license, CPCU/CIC designation (or equivalent), and 5–7+ years of operational leadership in Commercial Lines within a major agency.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience in a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with root cause analysis and sustainable process improvements.
• Workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership.
• Ability to influence leaders in a matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with leadership to strengthen operations, service delivery, and performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives focused on productivity and reducing variation.
• Evaluate issues and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing models to develop capacity plans supporting growth.
• Partner with Managed Services to align resources with goals.
• Provide national Commercial P&C subject matter guidance across agency operations.
• Support M&A integration through assessments, planning, and workflow alignment.
• Collaborate with producers, operations teams, and leadership to drive engagement and execution.
• Promote effective use of EPIC, workflows, and reporting tools.
• Use metrics and BI to drive performance improvements.
• Lead organizational change and adoption of new processes.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and uphold IOA values.
