Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to act as a national expert in Commercial P&C and agency operations. You will partner with leadership to align objectives, standardize workflows, and drive scalable improvements in a large brokerage.

The role supports producers, account teams, and operations while guiding strategic initiatives, including M&A integration. Ideal candidates will have a P&C license, CPCU/CIC designations, and 5–7+ years in commercial lines leadership

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Demonstrated experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
• Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Lines Strategy: Partner with Divisional and Regional Leadership to strengthen operations and performance.
• Operational Excellence: Identify challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
• Workflow Standardization: Promote standardized workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Root Cause Analysis: Evaluate issues, identify causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Workforce Planning: Develop capacity plans to support growth and excellence.
• Managed Services Alignment: Ensure efficient use of resources aligned with goals.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as a national Commercial P&C subject matter expert on operations and systems.
• M&A Integration Support: Assist integration planning and standardization during acquisitions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build partnerships to drive engagement and accountability.
• Systems & Technology Optimization: Promote EPIC and related tools to improve performance.
• Performance Analysis: Use metrics to evaluate effectiveness and drive improvements.
