Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to serve as a national subject matter expert in P&C insurance and agency operations. This role partners with executive leadership to drive workflow standardization, process optimization, and scalable growth across the organization.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7+ years in commercial lines leadership at a large broker/agency, active P&C license, and CPCU/CIC designations.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Demonstrated experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements
• Strong workforce planning and capacity modeling experience
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a matrixed organization
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy in collaboration with leadership to improve operations and performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvements to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing models and capacity to support growth and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Managed Services to align resources with goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and systems (EPIC).
• Support M&A integration initiatives through operational assessments and planning.
• Collaborate with producers and operations to drive engagement and accountability.
• Promote use of technology and reporting tools to improve performance.
• Lead change management and professional development to sustain improvements.
