Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to act as a national subject matter expert in Commercial P&C and agency operations. The role partners with leadership to standardize workflows, improve operations, and drive client service excellence while supporting growth and M&A initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in Commercial Lines leadership within a large brokerage or agency, holds an active P&C license, and CPCU/CIC designation (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership in a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute initiatives to strengthen Commercial Lines operations and service delivery.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Establish and promote standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and consistency.
• Evaluate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze staffing and workload to support growth and capacity planning.
• Align Managed Services resources with organizational goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and technology platforms.
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and process standardization.
• Collaborate with producers, operations, and leadership to drive adoption of initiatives.
• Promote effective use of EPIC and reporting tools to improve performance.
• Lead organizational change through new processes and practices.
