Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national initiatives in Commercial Property & Casualty operations. You will partner with leadership to standardize workflows, drive process improvements, and support growth across the agency network.

The role calls for a licensed P&C professional with 5–7+ years in a large brokerage or agency, plus strong analytical and communication skills. Remote work is preferred with some on-site needs within policies.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Experience with workflow standardization and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Divisional and Regional Leadership to develop and execute initiatives to strengthen Commercial Lines operations and service delivery.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
• Establish and promote standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Evaluate operational issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing models and capacity to develop plans supporting growth and excellence.
• Align with Managed Services to ensure resource efficiency and goal alignment.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, systems, and best practices as the national SME for Commercial P&C.
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and workflow alignment.
• Collaborate with producers, operations, and leadership to drive engagement and implementation of strategic initiatives.
• Promote effective use of EPIC, workflows, reporting tools, and technology platforms.
• Utilize operational metrics and BI to evaluate effectiveness and identify improvements.
• Lead change in adopting new processes and practices across the organization.
• Maintain ongoing professional development and industry leadership.
• Champion IOA values in all interactions.
