Job summary

National General is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive growth by generating new business, cross-selling, and maintaining a strong book of business. You’ll sell to local customers in person and over the phone, building relationships through community involvement and referrals.

Base compensation is $20.00 per hour with uncapped monthly incentives; joining the team means opportunities for commissions and bonuses based on performance.

Qualifications

• 0– 2years of experience.
• P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline with local lead generation and referrals.
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support business growth.
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales.
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations.
