Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Digital Infrastructure Design Manager to lead planning, design and delivery of global digital infrastructure projects with a focus on submarine cable landing stations and backbone networks. The role is fully remote within the United States and requires coordinating multidisciplinary teams across domestic and international clients.

The successful candidate will manage schedules, budgets and risks while mentoring junior staff and contributing to business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Architecture, Construction Management, Information Technology, or a related field with 8+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets and client communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and delivery of digital infrastructure projects from site selection through design and delivery.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, telecom, security and environmental disciplines.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk across all phases.
• Serve as primary client contact and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support due diligence, feasibility studies, and infrastructure planning activities.
• Lead design coordination for cable landing stations, backhaul fiber routes and related facilities.
• Coordinate utility, power, resiliency, security and operational requirements for mission-critical facilities.
• Facilitate design workshops and technical reviews.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for successful outcomes.
• Review designs for compliance with client requirements and standards.
• Support construction admin activities including RFIs, submittals, field coordination and commissioning.
• Contribute to proposals and business development initiatives.
