Job summary

Abbott is a global healthcare leader seeking an Account Manager to manage ARDx’s Cardiometabolic product portfolio. Focus on point-of-care testing with Afinion and Cholestech LDX, building relationships with distributors and end users, and achieving sales objectives across the territory.

The role covers Arizona, New Mexico, El Paso TX, and Las Vegas NV with up to 75-80% travel. Requires BA/BS and 4+ years in medical diagnostics or B2B sales.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in sales, marketing, business management or life science.
• 4+ years’ experience in medical diagnostics or B2B sales.
• Understanding and experience working with Distribution Partners.
• Strong knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability in execution of sales strategies.
• Proven successful POC/Capital Equipment sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify sales opportunities and capitalize on them.
• Establish, develop, and maintain business and client relationships.
• Strategic development of POC sales opportunities.
• Implement sales, marketing, and national account programs as directed.
• Build and maintain strong competitive product knowledge.
• Contribute to the region’s growth by understanding Account Reps’ objectives.
• Assist with management of complex sales via technical expertise.
• Meet established sales goals and territory budget.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage distributor sales force performance.
• Train and develop distributor sales to represent Abbott products.
• Support contract negotiation, pricing, and bid preparation.
• Identify customer issues and resolve sales-related difficulties.
