Job summary

The ALS Association is seeking a Development Manager for South Carolina, a remote role in the United States. You will drive the Walk to Defeat ALS and a Golf Tournament, recruit and steward volunteers, and build strong corporate partnerships to meet fundraising goals.

You’ll work closely with the Associate Director of Development and the team to manage budgets, reports, and communications. Strong organizational, analytical, and relationship-building skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years in fundraising, event management, volunteer development and related areas.
• Ability to run reports and analyze data to guide outreach plans.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage schedules, prioritize work and seek input when needed.
• Proficiency with Windows programs and donor databases (Salesforce, Blackbaud).
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Suite, Tableau, Greater Giving a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet an income portfolio goal of $400,000+ through events and Walk to Defeat ALS.
• Recruit, steward, and retain event chairs and volunteers; build community partnerships.
• Collaborate with Event Experience team and volunteers on logistics and materials.
• Work within budget and engage Care Services and MarCom teams for outreach.
• Conduct face-to-face, phone, and email outreach with corporate partners and donors.
• Represent the organization at community events and coordinate promotional materials.
• Support Territory team and leadership; ensure policy and standards adherence.
