Job summary

The ALS Association is seeking a Development Manager to oversee Walk to Defeat ALS and other fundraising opportunities across Arkansas. You will cultivate relationships, lead revenue events, and collaborate with teams to meet overall income goals.

Responsibilities include managing event portfolios, developing corporate partnerships, preparing proposals and materials, and guiding volunteers to maximize donations while ensuring donor stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2–5 years of development, sales or fundraising experience.
• Experience in planning, leading, and managing development events with volunteers.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
• Organized, flexible, and able to work in teams.
• Experience in special event fundraising and corporate sponsor recruitment.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and have own transportation.
• Proficiency with MS Office and database/web-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, develop, and manage event relationships to maximize fundraising and awareness through events/activities.
• Lead revenue/fundraising events across the state to meet an income portfolio goal of $400,000; Walk to Defeat ALS events and other activities.
• Grow corporate partnerships, develop proposals, secure commitments, and steward sponsors.
• Represent The ALS Association at community events to raise awareness of programs and services.
• Develop presentations and fundraising materials for outreach activities.
