Job summary

The ALS Association, the world’s leading ALS organization, is seeking a Development Manager to drive revenue through Walk to Defeat ALS and related events across Arkansas and beyond. You will cultivate relationships, manage budgets, and lead partnerships with corporate sponsors to meet ambitious fundraising goals.

You will work with statewide teams to craft proposals, coordinate events, and mentor volunteers while traveling up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum 2-5 years of development, sales or fundraising experience, required.
• Experience in planning, leading, and managing development events, including with volunteers.
• Outstanding communication skills, articulate and persuasive, with strong relationship building.
• Organized with prioritization and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, develop, and manage event relationships to maximize fundraising and awareness.
• Lead revenue/fundraising events across the state to meet income portfolio goals of $400,000.
• Grow corporate partnerships through prospecting, proposals, and stewardship.
• Represent the organization at community events to raise awareness.
• Develop fundraising materials and presentations with the development team.
• Mentor volunteers and participants to boost personal and team fundraising plans.
• Manage DIY events and analyze fundraising data to forecast revenue.
• Assist in budgets and oversee event financials and donor stewardship.
• Coordinate with Marketing/Communications for local event campaigns.
• Operate Convio, TeamRaiser, Salesforce, and Greater Giving systems to track progress.
