Job summary

IPS - Integrated Project Services, LLC is seeking a Design Safety Engineer to join our team at any U.S. office locations (MA, NJ, PA, MD, NC, KS, CA). This position can also be remote.

You will develop, implement, and maintain the IPS Design Division Safety Program, ensuring designs can be constructed, operated, and maintained safely.

Travel is expected 5–20% and you will collaborate with Directors, project managers, and clients to meet IPS safety standards.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of process safety concepts and best practices.
• Experience with risk assessments and regulatory compliance is preferred.
• Excellent communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality process safety support for projects.
• Coordinate with directors, project managers, and clients on scope and scheduling.
• Perform PHAs, HAZOP, What-if analyses as needed.
• Develop IPS process safety programs and calculate PRD/LEL.
• Train IPS personnel on process safety management.
• Ensure compliance with IPS standards and regulatory codes.
• Support business development and prepare proposals.
• Attend client sites and provide hazard mitigation consultations.
