Job summary

IPS is seeking a Design Safety Engineer to join IPS Design Division, supporting development, implementation, and maintenance of the Design Division Safety Program. You will ensure designs can be built and operated safely and support field safety for IPS personnel.

You will coordinate with directors, project managers, and clients, lead PHAs and risk assessments, train staff, and contribute to proposals and business development. This role offers remote option and travel up to 5-20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant science.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 requirements.
• Experience interacting and communicating directly with cross-functional facility owner teams.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects contemporaneously.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the IPS Design Division Safety Program.
• Ensure designs can be constructed, operated, and maintained safely.
• Coordinate with directors, PMs, and clients on scope, scheduling and requirements.
• Facilitate PHAs and design risk assessments (HAZOP, What-if, HAZID, LOPA).
• Train IPS personnel on process safety management.
• Support business development and preparation of proposals.
