Job summary

IPS - Integrated Project Services, LLC is seeking a Design Safety Engineer to support the IPS Design Division Safety Program across multiple U.S. offices. The role involves ensuring designs can be built, operated, and maintained safely while upholding IPS safety standards.

Responsibilities include leading PHAs, process safety reviews, and coordination with clients and project teams to meet safety requirements and regulatory codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant science.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 requirements.
• Experience interacting and communicating directly with cross-functional facility owner teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality process safety support in collaboration with the Director of Engineering and Design Safety.
• Coordinates with project managers and clients to determine scope, complexity, planning, and scheduling requirements.
• Facilitates PHAs and design risk assessments using methods such as HAZOP, What-if, HAZID, LOPA, etc.
• Supports development and implementation of IPS process safety programs, including PHA, PRD, and HAC.
• Trains IPS personnel on process safety management and ensures regulatory compliance.
