Job summary

IPS-Integrated Project Services is seeking a Design Safety Engineer to support IPS Design Division safety programs across U.S. offices. The role emphasizes ensuring safe, constructible, and compliant designs for complex facilities in life sciences, with potential for remote work.

You will collaborate with engineering leadership to implement PHAs, LOPAs, HAC, and other safety analyses, while training personnel and coordinating with project teams and clients to meet IPS safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College in Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant science.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 requirements.
• Experience interacting and communicating directly with cross-functional facility owner teams.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects contemporaneously.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality process safety support with the Director of Engineering and Design Safety.
• Determine safety review requirements (PHA, HAC, ergonomic reviews).
• Facilitate PHAs and design risk assessments (HAZOP, What-if, HAZID, LOPA).
• Coordinate planning, resources, and compliance with client standards.
• Train IPS personnel on process safety management and governance.
