SOLV Energy is seeking a Design Engineer II, Substation to own the preliminary substation design for utility-scale solar, BESS, and related interconnections. This fully remote role coordinates with BD kickoff through design-to-preconstruction handoff, aligning design basis, scope, schedule, risk, and technical assumptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in electrical substation engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar software.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NEC, NESC and related industry standards.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead preliminary substation design through 10% design deliverable.
• Coordinate inputs from engineering consultants and other departments.
• Review client documents, PPAs, interconnection agreements for requirements.
• Support handoff to Preconstruction Engineering and BD teams.
