Job summary

Delta Dental of Michigan recruits participating dentists for various programs and strengthens our dental network nationwide. You will visit dentists, present programs, and resolve claims issues while maintaining relationships across the community.

The role requires an associate’s degree with related experience in customer service or recruiting, plus strong communication and presentation skills, and familiarity with dental terminology and insurance products.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical, vocational, or business school with coursework in public relations, communications, dental assisting, or dental hygiene and two years’ related work experience in customer service, sales, or recruiting; plus one year in chair side assisting.
• Advanced knowledge of claims adjudication, dental terminology, dental procedures and dental insurance products; strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills; experience with word processing and spreadsheets; ability to resolve complex problems and exercise independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit participating dentists for Delta Dental networks and log contacts in SalesForce.
• Visit dentists to explain programs and resolve claims processing issues.
• Obtain competitor information and analyze data to support recruitment needs.
• Represent the company at regional/national dental meetings and community events to build relationships.
• Create and conduct presentations for dental offices, schools, and local societies.
• Promote new programs to increase dentist participation and communicate product changes.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
