Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana is seeking a Government Programs Customer Service Representative to join our remote team. This role handles member, client, and provider inquiries across channels with a focus on accuracy and timely resolution.

Candidates must reside in Michigan and be able to participate in meetings and training at our Farmington Hills office as needed. The position supports regulatory compliant service and requires strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience in a business environment using software applications.
• Ability to work an 8-hour schedule starting as early as 7:55 a.m. and ending as late as 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Proficiency with personal computers and Windows software.
• Successful completion of the customer service assessments with required scores.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and professionally respond to member, client and provider questions across multiple channels.
• Clearly communicate eligibility, benefit, claim status and payment information.
• Identify the reason for the call and provide resolution within regulatory timelines.
• Inform callers about grievance and appeal processes as needed.
• Document information thoroughly in the customer relationship management system.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and meet quality and call center metrics.
