Job summary
Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Data Security Engineer for a 100% remote role, reporting to the Deputy CISO. You will implement and operate data protection controls across the enterprise data estate, including analytics platforms like Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, and databases such as Azure SQL and SQL Server.
You will harden configurations, enforce masking and labeling, manage keys, and automate security deployments using IaC and platform APIs, collaborating with Security
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, information security or related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in information security, cloud engineering, data engineering, or a related field, including 2+ years focused on data protection.
- No professional certification required.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain data protection controls across the enterprise data estate.
- Harden security configurations for Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure SQL, SQL Server, data lakes.
- Automate control deployment and compliance validation via IaC and APIs.
- Provide hands-on technical support and collaborate with security operations and analytics teams.
