Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Data Security Engineer to protect institutional data across the enterprise data estate, including analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, and databases like Azure SQL and SQL Server. This 100% remote role reports to the Deputy CISO and requires hands-on security engineering expertise in encryption, access controls, and data masking.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in information security or related field; 7+ years of experience preferred.
• Experience implementing encryption, masking, and access controls in enterprise data environments.
• Proficiency with SQL and data security controls; scripting and automation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and maintain data protection controls across the enterprise data estate.
• Operate encryption and key management for data at rest and in transit.
• Enforce least-privilege access models and conduct entitlement reviews.
• Harden security configurations for data platforms and pipelines; secure data ingestion and sharing workflows.
• Automate deployment, configuration assessment, and compliance validation via IaC and APIs.
• Provide hands-on security support to teams deploying data solutions.
