Job summary

Placements24 client, a leading technology company, seeks a remote Data Privacy Counsel to join its global legal team. This fully remote role allows you to work from anywhere with a strong focus on GDPR, POPIA, and other international data protection laws, coordinating with teams worldwide.

Admitted attorney with 6+ years of privacy experience is required. You will develop privacy policies, assess DPIAs/PIAs, manage breach responses, review processing agreements, and advise on product data use

Qualifications

• Admitted attorney with 6+ years of data privacy experience.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, POPIA and global privacy laws.
• Experience with DPIAs and data breach response.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain global data privacy policies.
• Advise on data protection implications of new products and marketing.
• Lead DPIAs and PIAs across projects.
• Manage data breach response plans and investigations.
• Provide privacy training to employees and raise awareness.
• Liaise with data protection authorities and respond to inquiries.
• Review data processing agreements and vendor contracts for privacy.
