Job summary

The Mom Project is partnering with a high-growth data privacy law practice that is fully remote in the United States, offering flexible hours and the option for full- or part-time engagement. The role targets a Data Privacy Law Transactional Attorney with 5+ years of privacy experience to advise on privacy programs, DPAs, and complex transactions for enterprise clients.

Ideal candidates will draft policies, assist with SCCs and DPAs, and guide clients through evolving U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience specifically practicing data privacy law.
• Strong understanding of U.S. privacy and data-security laws.
• Experience drafting and negotiating DPAs, privacy provisions, and commercial agreements.
• Strong client counseling skills.
• Ability to manage a broad range of transactional matters.
• Experience with leadership in a law firm or corporate setting.
• Graduation from a Top 60 U.S. law school OR top 20% class.
• CIPP/US/CIPP/E or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on data privacy counseling and transactional matters (federal/state laws, CPRA/CCPA, privacy by design).
• Draft, review, negotiate privacy policies, DPAs, SCCs, and related agreements.
• Assist with privacy programs, compliance assessments, and audits.
• Support data-security provisions and incident response planning.
• Provide practical, business-minded legal guidance to clients.
