It has grown into a leader recognized for quality craftsmanship and forward‑thinking design, and is now seeking to add an experienced Compliance Counsel with data privacy experience to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary leader for global data privacy compliance, overseeing the organization's adherence to laws such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and evolving global privacy frameworks.
  • Continuously monitor global data privacy developments, assess regulatory impact, and lead implementation of compliance strategies across business units.
  • Conduct enterprise-wide privacy risk assessments, evaluate data processing activities, and drive mitigation plans to reduce exposure related to data protection, data transfers, and data governance.
  • Develop and manage privacy training programs to ensure employees and leadership understand data protection obligations, rights, and best practices.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and communication of global compliance policies, procedures, employee training programs, and related controls.
  • Lead environmental compliance initiatives, including PFAS reporting, Extended Producer Responsibility requirements, and other applicable environmental regulations.
  • Participate in acquisition-related due diligence and post-acquisition compliance integration efforts.
  • Support enterprise-wide efforts to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies by ensuring compliance with emerging regulations and staying current on industry best practices and legal trends.
  • Provide guidance on marketing compliance, including review of product-level claims and enterprise-level materials such as sustainability reports, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and deliver training materials on corporate policies and procedures, including ethics and conduct standards, authority regulations, fraud prevention, and executive education.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • 7+ years of experience, either in-house or law firm.
  • Experience in privacy, data protection, and/or information risk management (major law firm or top-tier consulting experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of global data privacy frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, cross‑border data transfer mechanisms, data localization requirements, and data de‑identification/pseudonymization techniques.
  • Understanding of incident and breach management requirements, data loss prevention, insider risk, and fraud detection laws.
Preferred Qualifications

IAPP certification or similar privacy-related credential.
