Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead the design and build-out of a cloud-based data platform, ensuring high-quality data for analytics and AI. You will establish standards, drive data governance, and coordinate multiple teams to deliver secure data products.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Data Science & AI, Information Design & Engineering, IT, and business leaders, with hybrid/remote options across MT/Central/ET locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field (graduate degree preferred).
• At least 3–5 years leading data engineering or related teams with direction-setting responsibilities.
• Experience managing budgets and cost-conscious tool decisions.
• Strong understanding of modern data engineering practices for analytics and AI.
• Extensive experience with data management, transformation, and scalable storage.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and build-out of the firm’s cloud-based data platform from the ground up.
• Set standards for data engineering methods and product reliability.
• Coordinate teams to deliver trustworthy and secure data products.
• Provide technical and architectural leadership for the data platform.
• Define and promote best practices for data engineering across the firm.
