Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead the design and build of a cloud-based data platform, ensuring quality, security, and scalability across analytics, reporting, and AI workflows.

You will collaborate with Data Science & AI teams, IT, and business leaders to define data requirements, establish engineering standards, and guide teams toward reliable data products in a hybrid or remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience leading data engineering or closely related technical teams.
• Experience managing budgets and making cost-conscious decisions about tools, platforms, and services.
• Strong understanding of modern data engineering practices for analytics and AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and build-out of the firm’s cloud-based data platform from the ground up.
• Set standards for data engineering methods and product reliability.
• Coordinate teams to deliver trustworthy data products and ensure data quality, lineage and security.
