Lead a team, set data engineering standards, and coordinate with Data Science & AI, IT Operations, and business leaders to deliver trustworthy data products.

The role emphasizes governance, security, and scalable data solutions in modern cloud environments, with an emphasis on reliability and end-to-end data workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 3–5 years of experience leading data engineering or closely related technical teams.
• Experience managing budgets and making cost conscious decisions about tools, platforms, and services.
• Strong understanding of modern data engineering practices to support analytics and AI.
• Extensive experience with data management, transformation, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all Data Engineering staff and foster growth.
• Delegate tasks, ensuring workload balance and efficiency.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Promote team engagement through communication and collaboration.
• Define standards for data engineering, code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Lead planning and execution of data engineering initiatives and projects.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers to support the data platform.
