Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines connecting client financial systems to a new budgeting platform. This 100% remote, full-time role requires deep ETL/ELT expertise, strong knowledge of SAP SAC, HANA, S/4HANA, and BW architectures, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP HANA, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP BW/4HANA and SAP BW.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in data integration, CDS View development, ETL development, or data engineering.
• Proficient in writing complex CDS/SQL and relational databases (SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience loading data into SAC/S4HANA models. Familiar with SAP Data Services, SAP BTP.

Responsibilities

• Data pipeline development: build, maintain ETL/ELT pipelines from source systems to the budget solution.
• Source system analysis: collaborate with stakeholders to understand data structures and business rules.
• Data mapping and transformation: create mappings; write CDS views and SQL scripts to transform data.
• Data quality assurance: implement data quality checks and reconciliation processes.
• Troubleshooting and performance tuning: monitor jobs, resolve failures, optimize pipelines.
• Collaboration: work with project managers, solution architects, and client SMEs.
• Documentation: maintain data flow diagrams, integration specs, and SOPs.
